Longstone Cottage is situated in the hamlet of Detchant, between the historic towns of Alnwick and Berwick upon Tweed. Dating back to the 1880s, this self catering holiday cottage enjoys spectacular views over the rolling countryside towards Bamburgh and the coast, with views of Holy Island and the Farne Islands.

Bespoke Design & Development

Our clients needed a complete overhaul of a website which was used to promote their historic holiday rental cottage in the hamlet of Detchant, between the towns of Alnwick and Berwick upon Tweed. 

The old website didn’t really reflect the beauty of the cottage and the quality of the accommodation on offer or the stunning countryside & coast around it.  So we knew from the offset that the design would be image led and visually appealing.  One huge bonus for our design team was the images that we used throughout the site, were all supplied by the client who is a keen photographer.

Project Details

We choose WordPress as the development framework as the client was very keen to be able to update content and images independently, something they couldn’t do before.  And the design looks clean, professional and attractive to visitors thinking about making a booking.

The client is now booked solid for the rest of the year and already taking bookings for 2016!  A job well done by Team onit.
