Professional Web Site Design Process
The web site design process usually consists of the following stages;
1. Consultation
At the consultation we will discuss your requirements and the objective
of your website. We will work with you to identify the quantity and
type of information to be presented, and agree a proposal that includes
content, layout, site structure and Search Engine Optimisation. We
will help identify your target market and consider how your website
may need to be updated in the future as your company grows.
Finally we will send you a written proposal encompassing all pages,
functions, costs and expected timescale's for the development of the
website.
2. Design Stage
If you haven't done so already, we will register a domain name for you
and create your preferred web hosting package. We will prepare an initial
design that encompasses the agreed design aesthetics and navigation
of your web site.
We can then adjust or create new designs based upon the client’s
feedback.
3. Website Content
Once the initial design is complete, we will then collate information received from you, and request any outstanding content that is to be included on the site.
The client generally dictates the timescale of a design project.
If you have a deadline in mind, we will endeavour to meet it for you.
The most common delay in the creation of a site is waiting for content
(text/images) to be sent by the client.
4. Design Infrastructure
We will complete the technical infrastructure and design, populating the pages with the selected pictures and copy.
5. Technical Testing & Evaluation
On completion, we will test the new web site for browser compatibility and usability. You will then be asked to perform a final proof check of information for all design work commissioned to us.
Once full payment is received we will upload your web site to your
web site hosting space.
